This accessory is designed for sample transmission measurements where precise mapping is required. With its Y and Z plane movement (no rotation), it is an ideal accessory for samples that have a spectral signature influenced by orientation such as a polarized film. Typical samples analyzed in the YZ Autosampler include coatings on glass and polymer films.
The YZ Autosampler features a translating Y, Z stage with both axes driven by high-precision servo motors with optical encoders for speed and reproducibility. Its sample holder clip allows samples to be easily and reproducibly positioned. The sample aperture is 4 x 3 mm. To reduce the aperture size, there is an integrating mask slot to fit a standard 1 x 3 mm aperture mask; inquire about custom mask aperture sizes.
USB and DC power are the only external connections required for this accessory. The YZ Autosampler fits most FTNIR/FTIR spectrometers. Please contact PIKE Technologies for mapping stages fitting research-grade UV-Vis spectrophotometer options.
Programming and control of the YZ Autosampler is done through PIKE Technologies’ AutoPRO software. The versatility of AutoPRO allows for custom templates for various sample sizes and user prescribe data sampling points. AutoPRO integrates with most commercial FTIR spectrometers for automated spectral data collection, and is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 10.
