Diamond Ex-Press – Micro-Compression Cell

A high-performance diamond compression cell designed to flatten micro-samples for high-quality IR transmission microscopy

Product Overview

The S.T. Japan Diamond Ex-Press is an essential accessory for laboratories performing infrared micro-spectroscopy. It utilizes two high-quality, Type IIa diamond windows to compress hard or thick samples—such as polymer beads, paint chips, or plant tissues—into a thin, uniform film. This compression significantly increases infrared throughput, enabling the collection of clear, high-resolution spectra from samples that would otherwise be opaque. The Ex-Press features a robust screw-down mechanism that allows for the controlled application of high pressure without the risk of window breakage. Because diamond is chemically inert and has a broad transmission range, it is compatible with almost all chemical types and spectral regions. The slim profile of the cell ensures it fits into the tight working clearance of most IR microscope objectives

Key Features
