PIKE GS Heated Gas Cell – High-Temperature Gas Analysis

A versatile, heated 100 mm gas cell designed for the constant-temperature analysis of gases and evolved vapors via FTIR

Product Overview

The PIKE GS Heated Gas Cell is an essential accessory for monitoring gas-phase chemical reactions and for evolved gas analysis (EGA) hyphenated with TGA. With a standard 100 mm pathlength, it provides a balance between sensitivity and volume, making it suitable for a wide range of applications from pharmaceutical stability testing to polymer degradation studies. The cell is equipped with integrated heating elements and a high-accuracy controller, allowing for stable operation up to 200 °C. The internal design is optimized for laminar flow, reducing dead volumes and ensuring a fast response to changes in gas composition. The modular window design allows for the use of KBr, ZnSe, or other materials to match the specific spectral and chemical requirements of the analyst

Key Features

  • Stable Temperature: Integrated heating prevents condensation and thermal gradients.
  • Optimized Flow: Low-volume design for high temporal resolution in hyphenated studies.
  • Chemically Resistant: Stainless steel or glass body options for diverse gas types.
  • Universal Interface: Easily connects to TGA or GC transfer lines.
  • Flexible Windows: Demountable design for quick window replacement and cleaning
