GladiATR

The GladiATR is a rugged, high-throughput monolithic diamond ATR accessory engineered to withstand extreme pressures up to 30,000 psi while providing an unmatched spectral range from Mid-IR to Far-IR.

Product Overview

The PIKE GladiATR™ is designed for laboratories that demand the highest levels of durability and analytical sensitivity. Unlike standard ATR accessories, the GladiATR features a monolithic diamond prism that is brazed into a stainless steel or Hastelloy plate. This robust construction ensures that the crystal will not scratch or fracture, even when analyzing the hardest, most intractable solids such as geological samples, polymer pellets, and coated metal wires.

At the core of its performance is an all-reflective optical design. By eliminating refractive lenses, the GladiATR achieves exceptional energy throughput, often twice that of competing systems, while preserving the full spectral range inherent to the diamond. This makes it an ideal workstation for researchers working in the Far-IR region or those requiring high-speed screening with minimal scan times. The system is highly modular, featuring user-changeable crystal plates including a high-refractive-index Germanium option for highly absorbing samples.

For advanced material characterization, the GladiATR can be configured with integrated thermal control. Available in both resistively heated versions (up to 300°C) and liquid-jacketed versions for sub-ambient cooling, it allows for the real-time monitoring of phase transitions and temperature-dependent chemical changes. Combined with an optional digital force adapter for reproducible pressure application, the GladiATR provides a stable and precise platform for both routine quality control and pioneering scientific research.

Key Features

  • Extreme Pressure Resilience: Compatible with pressures up to 30,000 psi, allowing for optimal contact with the most challenging solid samples.
  • Unrivaled Energy Throughput: Advanced optical design provides maximum signal-to-noise ratios, significantly reducing total analysis time.
  • Full Spectral Versatility: All-reflective optics support a wide spectral range from 4,000 cm⁻¹ down to 30 cm⁻¹ (Far-IR).
  • User-Exchangeable Plates: Quickly switch between Diamond, Germanium, or Specular Reflection plates to accommodate diverse sample types.
  • Universal Compatibility: Designed to fit into the sample compartment of almost any commercial FTIR spectrometer.
