The PIKE Pixie is a small-footprint, manual hydraulic press specifically engineered for the preparation of 7 mm KBr pellets. Despite its portable size, the Pixie can apply up to 2.5 tons of pressure, providing the force necessary to create clear, transparent pellets for transmission FTIR. Its ergonomic design makes it much easier to use than traditional hand-held "bolt" presses, resulting in more consistent pellet quality.The Pixie is perfect for labs with limited bench space or for educational settings where a full-sized 15-ton press is unnecessary. It features an integrated pressure gauge to ensure repeatability and a safety shield for operator protection.
