Quest ATR

The Specac Quest™ is a versatile, single-reflection ATR accessory engineered for high-performance laboratory analysis, featuring an all-reflective optical design and tool-free interchangeable crystal pucks.

Product Overview

The Specac Quest™ sets a new benchmark for routine Attenuated Total Reflection (ATR) spectroscopy by combining research-grade performance with the durability required for high-throughput industrial and academic environments. Its core strength lies in its all-reflective optical path, which utilizes high-efficiency gold-coated mirrors to maximize energy throughput and preserve the full spectral range of your FTIR spectrometer. This lens-free design ensures that users can transition from the Mid-IR into the Far-IR without the energy losses typically associated with refractive components.

Modularity is central to the Quest™ design, featuring a unique tool-free puck system that allows for the rapid exchange of ATR crystals. Whether analyzing corrosive liquids with a monolithic diamond, highly absorbing samples with Germanium, or utilizing the cost-effective Arrow™ Silicon consumable slides for hazardous materials, the system adapts in seconds. Each measurement is further optimized by the signature integrated pressure tower, which applies a consistent and repeatable 40 lbs of force, ensuring superior sample contact and spectral reproducibility across all users.

For more demanding thermal studies, the Quest™ can be equipped with an electronically controlled heated puck capable of reaching 110 ºC. This capability, paired with the optional flow-through anvils and specialized liquid containment pucks, makes the Quest™ an essential workstation for chemical process monitoring, forensic identification, and advanced materials research.
