The PIKE UpIR redefines convenience in diffuse reflectance (DRIFTS) spectroscopy. By placing the sampling port on the top of the accessory, it allows users to simply place a sample face-down over the opening. This is exceptionally useful for large, flat objects such as coated metal plates, polymer sheets, or silicon wafers that cannot be easily cut or fit into standard DRIFTS holders.For powder analysis, the UpIR allows the use of glass vials or beakers placed directly on the sampling window, making cleanup as simple as removing the container. The optical design is based on high-efficiency gold-coated mirrors, ensuring maximum energy throughput and sensitivity.
