Specac HTHP Cell – High-Temperature High-Pressure In-Situ Cell

An extreme-environment sampling system designed for in-situ FTIR analysis of catalysts and solid materials at temperatures up to 800 °C and pressures up to 1000 psi

Product Overview

The Specac HTHP (High Temperature High Pressure) Cell is a specialized tool for researchers studying heterogeneous catalysis and gas-solid interactions. It allows for the real-time monitoring of chemical reactions under conditions that mimic industrial process environments. The cell can be configured for either transmission or diffuse reflectance (DRIFTS), providing a comprehensive view of both the gas phase and the sample surface.Constructed from chemically resistant materials, the cell features integrated heating and water-cooling to protect the spectrometer while maintaining the sample at extreme temperatures. The HTHP cell is essential for advanced material characterization, where understanding the thermal decomposition or reaction kinetics of a material is the primary goal

Key Features

  • Extreme Thermal Range: Operates from ambient up to 800 °C under vacuum.
  • High Pressure Capability: Rated for operation up to 1000 psi.
  • In-Situ Monitoring: Track reactions in real-time as they occur on the catalyst surface.
  • Dual-Mode Sampling: Easily converts between transmission and DRIFTS modes.
  • Advanced Cooling: Integrated water-cooling jacket ensures safe instrument operation
