The PIKE TGA-FTIR Accessory is a hyphenated analytical solution that allows researchers to identify the chemical species released during a TGA experiment. As a sample is heated in the TGA furnace, the resulting evolved gases are transferred through a heated line into the FTIR gas cell. This provides a time-resolved chemical profile of decomposition products, solvent loss, and oxidation reactions, offering far more insight than TGA weight-loss data alone.This accessory features a low-volume, heated gas cell designed to maintain high resolution and prevent gas re-mixing. The entire flow path is temperature-controlled to ensure that high-molecular-weight species do not condense before detection.
