Specac Cyclone – Heatable Multi-Pass Gas Cells

Premium multi-pass gas cells with borosilicate glass bodies and pathlengths up to 20 meters, optimized for analytical accuracy and thermal stability

Product Overview

The Specac Cyclone series represents the standard for high-performance gas analysis via FTIR. These cells feature a "White Cell" optical design, allowing the infrared beam to travel between 2.5 and 20 meters within a thermally stabilized environment. The use of borosilicate glass for the cell body provides excellent chemical inertness and visibility, while the nickel-plated end caps ensure structural integrity.Cyclone cells are capable of being heated up to 200 °C, making them suitable for the analysis of hot gas streams and vapors that would condense at room temperature. With high-efficiency gold-coated mirrors and a variety of window materials, the Cyclone is versatile enough for applications ranging from automotive emissions testing to the detection of trace moisture in high-purity industrial gases

Key Features

  • Superior Chemical Inertness: Borosilicate glass body minimizes gas adsorption.
  • High Temporal Resolution: Optimized volume-to-pathlength ratio for fast sampling.
  • Gold-Coated Mirrors: Ensures maximum energy throughput for trace analysis.
  • Heated Performance: Integrated heating to 200 °C for vapor-phase stability.
  • Wide Pathlength Range: Options from 2.5m up to 20m to match sensitivity needs
